Shockwave 12U
12U Shockwave Wraps Up Summer Season at the Easton Classic
The 12U Shockwave team concluded its summer season by competing in the prestigious Triple Crown Easton Classic in Pleasanton. Facing some of the top teams from across the region, Shockwave gained valuable experience while continuing to showcase the resilience, teamwork, and competitiveness that defined their summer.
Shockwave opened tournament play with an impressive 4-2 victory over Phantom Le Roy/Johnson. Aashvi K was outstanding in the circle, striking out eight batters over five strong innings while allowing just one earned run. Priya R delivered an RBI single, and the team showed patience at the plate by drawing seven walks. Eliana G added pressure on the bases with two stolen bases, and the defense turned a key double play to help secure the opening win.
The team followed with a competitive matchup against the Lady Outlaws Velez, holding a 3-2 lead heading into the bottom of the third before the Outlaws rallied for the victory. Zara C, Sofia P, and Zuri R each collected hits, while Shockwave continued to demonstrate disciplined at-bats by drawing five walks.
Later in pool play, Shockwave squared off against a talented 805 Elite team. Although the final score didn’t reflect the effort, the girls continued to compete against one of the tournament’s strongest opponents. Geneva M recorded four strikeouts in the circle, while Eliana G and Sreshta P each collected a hit.
On Sunday, Shockwave wrapped up tournament play against Caligold. Aashvi K, Eliana G, and Geneva M each recorded hits, and Kamila A provided solid relief work in the circle as the team battled until the final out against another high-level opponent.
The Easton Classic marked the conclusion of an outstanding summer season for the 12U Shockwave team. Throughout the summer, the girls demonstrated remarkable growth, competing against some of the top programs in Northern California while earning a Silver Bracket Championship at the PHBA Field of Dreams Tournament, and countless moments of resilience and teamwork. Every tournament provided opportunities to improve, and this team consistently rose to the challenge.
As the summer season comes to an end, several players will be moving up to the 14U division this fall, while others will return to lead the next chapter of the 12U program. We are incredibly proud of everything this team accomplished and grateful to our players, coaches, and families for their dedication and commitment throughout the season.

Shockwave 10U
10U Shockwave Finishes Strong at the PHBA Field of Dreams Tournament
The 10U Shockwave team wrapped up an outstanding summer season at the PHBA Field of Dreams Tournament in Pleasant Hill, putting together another strong weekend of competitive softball. Finishing 2-2 in pool play, Shockwave earned a spot in the Gold Bracket, where they competed against one of the tournament’s top teams.
Shockwave opened the tournament with a 6-2 victory over Redhawks White. After trailing late, the team erupted for five runs in the fourth inning to take control of the game. Quinn L led the way both in the circle and at the plate, striking out nine batters over four innings while going 2-for-2 with three RBIs, including a clutch two-run double that sparked the comeback.
The team then faced a tough Benicia Outlaws Masters squad. Despite the final score, Shockwave continued to battle throughout the game. Alice T collected two hits, while Emmy C and Kaia C created pressure on the bases with multiple stolen bases. The team’s patience at the plate was on display once again, drawing six walks and stealing six bases.
Later that day, Shockwave bounced back with a 7-5 win over the Sting Hornets to secure a 2-1 record and clinch a berth in the Gold Bracket. The offense jumped out to an early five-run lead behind disciplined at-bats, drawing nine walks in the game. Nila M started in the circle, Quinn L earned the save, and contributions came from throughout the lineup as the team held off a late Sting rally.
On Sunday, Shockwave faced the San Jose Twisters in Gold Bracket play. Although the team fell 7-4, the girls competed until the final out against one of the tournament’s strongest teams. Nila M led the offense with two hits, while Ella M drove in a run. Alessandra P battled in the circle, recording six strikeouts against a talented Twisters lineup.
The PHBA Field of Dreams Tournament was a fitting way to close out an incredible summer. Throughout the season, the 10U Shockwave team consistently competed with some of Northern California’s top programs, earning tournament championships, bracket titles, and Gold Bracket appearances while continuing to grow as both players and teammates.
As the summer season comes to a close, this tournament also marked the final 10U event for many of these players, who will be moving up to the 12U division this fall. Their growth, resilience, and love for the game have been incredible to watch, and we can’t wait to see what they accomplish in the next chapter of their softball journey.

Shockwave 8U
8U Shockwave Earns Third Place in the Bronze Bracket at the Strawberry Jam Tournament
The 8U Shockwave team wrapped up its season at the Strawberry Jam Tournament in Watsonville, earning a third-place finish in the Bronze Bracket. It was a fitting conclusion to a season filled with growth, learning, and memorable moments for this young team.
Shockwave opened the tournament with an exciting victory over the Santa Clara Sparks, showcasing the confidence and development the team has built throughout the season. The girls followed that performance with a hard-fought 4-3 loss to the Roseville Thunder, battling until the final out in one of their most competitive games of the weekend.
On Sunday, the team faced two talented opponents in Bobby Sox and Carmel. Although the results didn’t go their way, the girls continued to play with energy, determination, and outstanding sportsmanship, never backing down from the competition.
The Strawberry Jam Tournament marked the end of an incredible inaugural season for this 8U Shockwave team. Over the course of the season, these young athletes grew tremendously—not only as softball players, but as teammates. They gained confidence, learned the value of hard work and perseverance, built lasting friendships, and embraced the team-first culture that defines Shockwave Softball. Their improvement from the first tournament to the last was remarkable and is a testament to their dedication, the commitment of their coaches, and the unwavering support of their families.
As one season comes to a close, another is just around the corner. Don’t forget to register for SGSL Fall Recreation Softball! Fall Ball is a great opportunity for both new and returning players to continue developing their skills, build friendships, and have fun on the field. Registration closes August 14, so be sure to secure your spot before it’s too late.
