Hello SGSL Families,
I’m excited to introduce myself as the new President of Sunnyvale Girls Softball League. My name is Daniel Poo, and I’m a proud softball dad with three daughters who all played in the league. I’m also the coach for the Sunnyvale Shockwave 8U travel team. SGSL has been a big part of our family’s life over the last couple of years, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to give back to this amazing community.
Spring 2025 Rec Registration Now Open!
We’re excited to announce that registration for the 2025 Spring Recreation Season is now open!
Don’t miss your chance to join us for another fun and competitive season of softball. Register in November to take advantage of our Early Bird Discount and be entered into a raffle for a special prize!
Spaces fill quickly, so register early to secure your spot. If divisions reach capacity, a wait list will open, and players will be placed on teams as space allows.

We offer something for everyone:
- Recreational Seasons: Our Spring season runs from January/February to early May, and our Fall season runs from September to late October or mid-November. All skill levels are welcome, and players are placed on balanced teams to ensure a great experience for everyone.
- Shockwave Travel Program: For players looking for more competitive play, our Shockwave teams compete in summer (June–July) and fall (September–October) tournaments around the Bay Area.
If you’re new to the sport—welcome! We’re excited to have you join us. SGSL is a great place to learn the game, make friends, and be part of a supportive community.
Whether your child is picking up a glove for the first time or ready to compete at a higher level, there’s a place for them here.
