Be An SGSL Coach

SGSL is always looking for new coaches – especially in the younger Divisions (6U/8U). Not sure you know enough about softball to coach a team? No problem – we do the training. All of our coaches learn basic coaching skills as well as how to teach softball skills. The best time to start is now!

Coaching Background Check/ACE Training

Coaches are required to complete the USA Softball ACE Training with Background Check each year. Coaches are required to show proof of certification to their division director.  When registering for the first time, please select “CA – Northern California“ (division can be “N/A”). To register go to registerasa.com

You will have to first pass the background check then complete SafeSport then complete the ACE Softball Training.

Note: you must renew your ACE certification every year that you are a coach with SGSL.

Testimonials

“Being a coach of your daughter’s team is priceless! This will be the 3rd year my husband will coach for my daughter’s team, and he’s thoroughly enjoyed every minute! (I have too). The league provided great coaching classes to help with the team. They will give you all the tools you’ll need to organize your practices/games, and the rest just comes as you play and have fun. My daughter will now be on an 8U team, and we’re looking forward to another awesome year.If you are considering coaching, I would encourage you to sign up. It’s a great way to spend time with your daughter, meet new friends (both kids and grown-ups), and to enjoy a team sport together.See you on the field!”
